The AREA Interoperability and Standards program invites the Khronos Group to speak on the impact of 3D technology on different industries. In the public webinar, the audience will learn more about how AR interoperability changes the world, how scalable processes will be created, and how standards will enable this development. It takes place on 3rd of March from 05:00 to 06:30 p.m. CET.

Established in 2019, the Khronos 3D Commerce Working Group has set the goal to enable alignment in the industry for streamlined 3D content creation, management and display in online retail. The group brings together more than 70 industry leading companies, including retailers, technology providers and manufacturers. One of their achievements so far has been the development of the 3D Asset Creation Guidelines, which were published in 2020.

The speakers at the webinar are all members of this working group and actively contributing to the effort. Their collective expertise covers all relevant areas when it comes to creating scalable 3D pipelines, from content creation to visualisation:

• Max Limper, CEO at DGG and Co-Chair of the Asset Creation TSG in the 3D Commerce WG
