Julian-Alexander Neagu, Co-Founder of RapidCompact by DGG, was part of a workshop at Autodesk University 2022 hosted by Shutterstock. Together with top innovators in the 3D content space from NVIDIA and Shutterstock, he presented benefits and challenges of developing 3D Asset Standards and Open Source Development.
The Autodesk University is a conference for innovators with a focus on industries like engineering, design as well as media and entertainment. The conference took place in New Orleans from September 27-28.
The title of Shutterstock’s workshop was “Developing 3D Asset Standards for Future Experience & Simulation”. DGG has always been very active pushing standardized 3D assets and workflows. That’s why we are active in organizations like the Khronos Group and connected with NVIDIA and Shutterstock.
“With the help of Open-Source development and standardization efforts, we will finally be able to introduce 3D as a media for all businesses and users. Enriching and evolving the internet with content matching our own perception of the (three-dimensional) real world”, explained Julian at the conference.
